This basic flight simulator was the first DirectX game I ever wrote. It was the result for my final exam in the module Graphics and sound programming 1. The purpose of this assignment was to get used to working with the 3D engine. Key features that were needed were the use of a height map, controlling a .x object, collision and parsing to and from files.
